A recital to remember
After an hour of music and three encores the recital came to a jubilent close with Bach's Prelude in C Major which left the audience mesmorized and had them stay in the hall for quite a while to talk with the artist and have a closer look at the marimba. This was Aristel's first solo recital in London and a full concert hall testifies it has been long awaited and overdue. It has kickstarted a busy period in which Aristel will perform at a variety of occasions and a broad musical repertoire. Watch out for announcements of his further appearances.
Aristel will give his first solo recital in London on the 8th February 2014 at 7pm at the beautiful MacLaren Hall in the West End. This recital intentionally coincides with the Slovenian Day of Culture and is dedicated to its celebration. He will perform works by J.S.Bach, John Dowland, Keiko Abe, and his own Suite for Marimba.
When are you coming home?
After almost two years Aristel has returned to his home town Krsko, Slovenia, to perform pieces and compositions from throughout his musical journey. Aristel played his first solo recital back in 2007, incidentally held in the same hall.
There was also a conversation type interview going on throughout the concert
