Marimba Masters at RCM
Aristel recently auditioned for a place at the Royal College of Music and was accepted as a Masters student for the upcoming academic year starting in September 2014. He will study with a distinguished Prof. Daniella Ganeva in a specialized marimba Masters of Performance programme. RCM is one of the few conservatoires in the world to offer an advanced marimba course at such a high level. A proof of his excellent audition is the receipt of Scholar of Royal College of Music scholarship.
A recital to remember
After an hour of music and three encores the recital came to a jubilent close with Bach's Prelude in C Major which left the audience mesmorized and had them stay in the hall for quite a while to talk with the artist and have a closer look at the marimba. This recital also anounced an upcoming busy period in which Aristel will perform at a variety of occasions and explore a broad musical repertoire.

Aristel will give a solo rectial on the 8th February 2014 at 7pm at the beautiful MacLaren Hall in London's West End. This recital intentionally coincides with the Slovenian Day of Culture and is dedicated to its celebration. He will perform works by J.S.Bach, John Dowland, Keiko Abe, and his own Suite for Marimba.
When are you coming home?
After almost two years Aristel has returned to his home town Krsko, Slovenia, to perform pieces and compositions from throughout his musical journey. Aristel played his first solo recital back in 2007, incidentally held in the same hall.

TEDx Square Mile event
Last Saturday, 26th October, Aristel performed at the established TEDx event in the Museum of London playing Michi, composed by Keiko Abe.
He was part of an act called The Magic of Words which was a talk given by Leon Conrad on the use of words and language and followed by Aristel's performance to demonstrate the connection between language and music.
Visual Identity of Slovenia at EBRD
On the 3rd of October 2012 Aristel performed at the opening of an important exhibition at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Liverpool Street, marking 20 years of Slovenia's independence. It is now travelling accross Europe and was opened in London by the Slovenian ambassador Mr. Iztok Jarc. Aristel performed a few of his own compositions as well as pieces by J.S.Bach and Keiko Abe at this occasion. You can find more details of the event here: Slovenian embassy website
Interview at Slovenian national radio
Aristel was a guest in night broadcast "Night guest" at first program of Radio Slovenia. Very interesting and entertaining interview enriched with Aristel's music was conducted by Bojana Zevnik.

Marimba and gongs
Aristel had a recital this Sunday ( 16.10 ) in Umag, Croatia at which he was joined by Mojca Morya Malek who played gongs, tibetan singing bowls and sang. First part of the concert was performed by Mojca who enchanted the audience with beautiful sound of gongs, Aristel performed in the second part of the concert.
